Mid-Century Modern

Are you obsessed with the modernist looks of post World War II?  Do you repeatedly watch the 1960’s set show Mad Men?  Then you are probably a huge fan of Mid-Century Modern interior design.  Characterized by simplicity, clean lines, organic shapes and a less-is-more approach, Mid-Century Modern spaces tend to be functional yet stylish.  They are definitely designed to fit your unique needs.  Natural materials like leather and natural wood are commonly used, but don’t be surprised to find the occasional use of modern looking materials like plastic to create a contrast between the traditional and the non-traditional.  Color palettes are often found in the ranges of muted oranges, yellows, greens and browns, but more neutral color stories are just as commonly used.
